I love libraries.
You’re probably not shocked.
From a young age, I learned…
Arthur was a great show. In addition to learning how to spell A-A-R-D-V-A-R-K, I learned how to have fun (with a library card!). I’ve never looked back.
I spent a good deal of my childhood negotiating how many library books I could check out at once.
When I was in college, I worked in my school’s library, one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been in. After college, I looked for jobs in libraries.
Stepping into the library today, smelling the ink and paper, and seeing books waiting for me on the shelf made my shoulders relax. Of course, the giant stack of books I carried out did not help them stay relaxed.
I’m starting research for my next book. If you’ve guessed it has something to do with the Romanovs… you’re not wrong.
It is thrilling to be researching a new book again. This one, about Alexei Romanov, has been in my heart for a while.
I can’t wait to start writing.
I’m so glad I have a reason (a better reason) to visit my library often.
Hope I can find room for this latest stack somewhere.
Think of me, if ever you worry about the safety of the book-obsessed.
