Welcome, Alexei

Welcome, Alexei

I’m finally working on a new book!

I’ve been thinking about this idea for a long time now. I’ve always been fascinated by the tragic story of the Romanovs, particularly Anastasia. I grew up watching the animated movie and have seen the Broadway show a couple of times (it’s amazing, definitely go see it!).

Alexei Romanov, Anastasia’s younger brother, was a desperately longed-for son, the heir to the Romanov dynasty. He was born with haemophilia, a terrible and painful disease. His parents did everything they could for him… including many things which helped bring down the Romanov dynasty. He died with his family in Yekaterinburg in 1918.

But… what if he didn’t?

My new book is going to be an alternate history where Alexei does not have haemophilia, and the Romanovs are not overthrown.

Alexei in the middle, with his sisters around him.

I’ve been thinking about writing this book for years now, and I finally feel ready.

I can’t wait to get to know these characters and their world.

Welcome, Alexei.
